How to Upgrade Ubuntu to 19.10 Eoan Ermine Beta

The development release of Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) beta is out today. Follow these steps to upgrade to the newest Ubuntu release:

Update Your Current Distribution

1. Update your package list:

sudo apt-get update

2. Install the latest version of your packages:

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Upgrade to the Latest Development Release:

3. Run the following command with -d option to obtain the latest development release of Ubuntu:

sudo do-release-upgrade -d

After that, Ubuntu will guide you through the rest of the installation.
